"The warrior of light, the warrior of good, the victorious warrior Maksym fulfilled the greatest commandment of God, not sparing his own life, he saved not dozens, but probably hundreds of other lives. Because these are not just downed aerial targets, we are aware that they bring death to those villains who launch them against innocent children, their parents, who mercilessly strike at civilian infrastructure. Maksym took the blow upon himself."

"How elated he was that he had mastered this plane (F16). How much he understood that he could realize the combat capabilities of the plane at full power, he was very proud of this. He told us what capabilities we have, what capabilities we have to realize, what capabilities we have to destroy the enemy’s air force, how in his opinion we will destroy the SU35, SU30 and other planes. He had a lot of thoughts. He spoke with enthusiasm about the F16 plane, as a powerful machine that must be used at full power. Maksym was one of those pilots who did this."

"He destroyed 7 Shahed. What became of the disaster that happened, the investigation will show. But the air situation was very difficult, and there were a lot of air targets in the airspace that needed to be destroyed. I am sure that if there was at least one chance to survive, Maksym, as competent and talented a pilot as he was, would have taken advantage of it. A situation arose where there was simply no such chance. Moreover, to divert an already damaged plane from a populated area and continue to fly this plane is a very difficult task. But the pilot did it, he is truly a hero."

"Our work has become more complicated only because the enemy is trying to use new tactical techniques, new types, overloading our air defense system. But at the moment we have enough air defense forces to fight. We act more intensively at the moment of air strikes, both in terms of time and density. But at the moment the air defense is coping. We hope that the deliveries of weapons by partners will continue, as planned earlier. And we will continue to fulfill our task."
