8. SOUNDBITE (French) Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication of Morocco:
"The gaming industry represents a significant economic opportunity worldwide, with revenues exceeding 300 billion dollars. Morocco’s goal is to represent 1% of this global revenue by 2030–2033, especially as projections estimate the industry will grow to over 500 billion dollars by 2033. Of course, the objective is not only to generate revenue, but also to empower our youth and even those less young to develop their own startups and small businesses in this sector. The aim is also to attract foreign investors to Morocco, and naturally, to create jobs in the cultural and gaming industries. We must also acknowledge that while artificial intelligence (AI) brings many positive advancements, it also raises concerns. Several professions are likely to disappear as AI continues to evolve. That’s why we must offer real alternatives to our young people and to all generations by opening up new career opportunities and preparing them for the jobs of the future."

"We must learn how to deal with artificial intelligence and use it as a tool to assist us. We should not rely on it entirely for every task we undertake, because we are human beings and must engage our minds. We can use these tools to improve the products we are working on. Therefore, we only need to understand how to interact with AI appropriately. Naturally, there are concerns, because we don’t know how far AI development might go in the future. Could it evolve to the point where it replaces our role as video game developers?"
