A woman can do nothing but watch in horror as a house is carried away by raging flood waters. It happened in the mountainous town of Ruidoso, in southern New Mexico, where heavy rains caused flash floods. The flooding was made worse by recent wildfires that stripped vegetation from the region, allowing water to pass over the burn scars. Officials say the water level rose to 20 feet, which is 5 five higher than the previous record.
