STORYLINE:
Three decades after their fathers, brothers, husbands and sons perished in the bloodiest episode of the Bosnian war, female survivors of Srebrenica find some solace in having been able to unearth their loved ones’ remains from far away mass graves and return them to their final resting place, the solitary graves of a local memorial cemetery.
The women of Srebrenica can now live in their hometown, near the individual graves and collective memorials that remind them not only of the tragedy but of their love and perseverance in seeking justice for the men they lost.
