"It actually does come from childhood and I have always loved fabrics and I guess that’s part of fashion and my love of fashion and when we had our design meetings, firstly I invited the team to my home as it’s called "Kylie at Home" come to my home see what my living space is like, you might even notice things that I kind of take for granted, and I pulled out all these bits of fabric and trims and this and that, that I had kept literally for twenty years so it does go back that far, so I have been vindicated, the stuff that I have been hording has finally got a purpose."
"My home is largely art deco or art deco influenced, I’m not actually home that much so home to me is a real…I was going to say pleasure or treasure which one, actually both but I get lots of inspiration and see amazing hotels design elements on all my travels and all the incredible designers I work with, and so all of those bits of information come down to form my style and what I would like to put into this range."
"I’m absolutely happiest when I’m busy although at that precise moment I would be dreaming and moaning when can I have some free time, but I really consider myself fortunate to have a job where there are so many creative elements and outlets, and I work with great teams and I think the standard that I want or inspire is around and I couldn’t do it without these wonderful people."
"Well, it’s a tour to promote and celebrate my album " X ", as opposed to my last two tours which were greatest hits tours, so I was more or less obliged to go down memory lane, I will still do a bit of that but I really am so excited to know what the new songs will be like in a live performance, because that’s where they do come alive and you do them night after night and have that instant feedback from the audience it’s… I love it I can’t wait."
