STORYLINE:
French President Emmanuel Macron met with the Emir of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah in Paris on Monday for the signing of two bilateral agreements.
French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot and Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Abdullah al-Yahya signed two declarations of intent in the presence of both the leaders.
The occasion coincides with Bastille Day celebrations in France.
One agreement outlines a Franco-Kuwaiti Strategic Investment Partnership for the 2025–2026 period, focusing on enhanced financial and economic cooperation.
The other aims to deepen cultural collaboration, including the celebration in 2026 of the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between France and Kuwait.
