President Donald Trump reached a trade deal with Japan that will impose 15% tariffs on imports including automakers. The agreement, touted by Trump after he secured breakthroughs in a meeting Tuesday with Japanese negotiators, spares the nation from a threatened 25% tariff that was set to take effect next week. Japan’s Topix Index rallied as much as 3.6%, while Toyota shares climbed the most since 1987.
Microsoft warned that Chinese state-sponsored hackers are among those exploiting flaws in its SharePoint software to break into institutions globally, with the US agency responsible for designing nuclear weapons now among those breached.
