STORYLINE:
The impact of the 12-day war between Israel and Iran was still visible in Tehran on Saturday.
Several buildings in the capital suffered damage as Israeli strikes targeted sites across the city.
The Associated Press was given access to one heavily damaged residential building during a media tour, organized by the government.
The building is located in the Shahid Chamran development, a neighborhood linked to the Iranian military.
The area was attacked early on June 13, when Israel carried out lightning strikes that killed top commanders and nuclear scientists.
AP was able to talk to a number of residents about the impact of Israel’s bombardments.
One of them said her "heart almost stopped" when she saw that the entire block had collapsed.
Another one slammed Israel, saying its actions showed its "desperation, weakness and fear."
"When someone is scared, they don’t understand the decisions they make. They just attack others and destroy everything," she added.
A number of civilians were killed in the Israeli strikes on targets across Iran.
It claims 1,190 people were killed, including 436 civilians and 435 security force members.
