5. SOUNDBITE (English) Sophie Nélisse and Dafne Keen, actors:
Nélisse: "Like it’s touching and also it feels like it adds pressure. Like I feel like they look up to me and I’m like, why?"
Keen: "I don’t look up to me."
Nélisse: "Exactly. You shouldn’t. Yeah. So it feels like it comes with, like, a sense of responsibility because I want to live up to like, their expectations or what they want from, like, my character. And I don’t always, you know, like, if I think of ‘Yellowjackets’ in this season, like, my character’s created so much diversity in opinions. And some people hate what Shauna is doing. And I’m like, I’m not the one. They’re like ‘We hate Shauna’ and I’m like ‘I’m sorry.’"

7. SOUNDBITE (English) Dafne Keen and Sophie Nélisse, actors – on making friends with fellow actors:
Keen: "I think there is sort of companionship in that. But I also think our friendship is so much more than that. Like it means that you really got each other right, right off the bat. And I think a layer of that was, I think, existing in the same sort of professional world and understanding that about each other. And also, I think we really get each other mostly as like creatives, which I think is such a huge part of who we are as people and how much we care about the work."
Nélisse: "Yeah, I think sometimes it also gives us a safe space to vent about certain things that I can find challenging about this line of work that, to some other people, I think they kind of tend to only see the pros. And granted, I mean, there are so many and I feel like I pinch myself every day that I get to do this job and live off of, like, something that inspires me. And I know how lucky I am to be in my situation, but there’s still room for, you know, things that I find more difficult or challenging. And I think that only the people that kind of go through those same situations can relate too. And it feels nice to have a safe space to talk about."
Keen: "It’s definitely, I think, important to have a support system, I think when people understand it, that it makes that that much more special."

9. SOUNDBITE (English) Dafne Keen and Sophie Nélisse, actors
Keen: "I think we were really lucky that Corin (Hardy – director) was really clear on what he wanted and he based these two characters on two very beloved people in his life. So he told us everything and he sort of just gave us the backstory, and we were lucky enough to be able to know everything. There wasn’t many blanks for us to fill."
Nélisse: "Yeah, I feel like on this one we really relied on Corin’s vision and his idea of what he wanted these characters to be like and their relationship. And so, yeah, as much as we definitely had liberty on the set to bring your own story, but still it was pretty… Yeah. We wanted to live up to expectations."
