3. SOUNDBITE (English) Sean Fergusson, Joint Founder, Fore-Business:
"A maximum of four people are playing during a round of golf and you get to spend just over four hours together on the golf course. I think it’s very relaxed and I think it allows you to dive in maybe a little bit further into conversations that you might not necessarily be able to do in a boardroom where you’ve got more than four people around the table negotiating a deal. So yeah, I think it’s absolutely a really great platform to relax and, certainly sometimes find out more about people than you might normally do."

8. SOUNDBITE (English) David Charlton, psychologist, Sport Excellence:
"There’ll probably be a bit of banter involved as well, the way the golf will pan out, there’ll be some mistakes, there’ll be some great shots, but it’ll allow a bit of a bit of laughter, a bit of fun, as well as some serious nature and if you think about what (are good) leadership qualities – composure, making good decisions, judgment in pressurized moments – I think golf can encapsulate some of that."

12. SOUNDBITE (English) David Charlton, psychologist, Sport Excellence:
"An executive, the strategy side of things is such a big part of what they do. Yes, they’ve got to take so many risks, but they’ve also got to play it safe on occasions and I think golf feeds into that too."

15. SOUNDBITE (English) Sean Fergusson, Joint Founder, Fore-Business:
"During a round of golf you can quickly work out if you want to do business with that person or not. Simple little things like: are they helping you find your ball if you hit it away from the fairway, all these sort of things are really important to really understanding, are you actually going to be doing business with somebody who’s selfish about their own game which means they’re probably selfish about their own business as well at the same time. And don’t get me started on cheating. Unfortunately, people have been known to cheat in golf from time to time. And that goes in hand-in-hand with business, will they cheat you out of money?"
