Basco: "I’m, like, signing, and then one of the kids, I mean, 20-something kid…’You know, I want to thank you so much we grew up with you.’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, man, we all grew up together. That’s great.’ He goes, ‘No, no. You don’t get it.’ I go, ‘What?’ He goes ‘You programmed our generation.’ I said, What?’ He goes, ‘You guys, this show, you guys programmed our generations.’ I go ‘What does that mean?’ He goes ‘Why do you think our generation brought protest back, the Me Too movement, Black Lives Matter, we’re trying to get the world back in balance.’ And I froze. Like I literally was like, ‘Oh my god.’ And I was like that’s part of this whole thing in the generation, I don’t know if it’s Gen Z or who, that’s, you know."
Eisen: "It’s multi-generational."
Basco: "The new generation is like, ‘We’re taking this show and we’re getting the world back in balance.’ And it’s been a powerful kind of catalyst for that."
