Between Netanyahu and Hamas: How the Red Cross facilitates aid into Gaza | DW News

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has requested the assistance of the International Committee of the Red Cross to help get food and medical assistance to the remaining hostages in Gaza.

This follows the release of video footage by militants of starved Israeli hostages held underground in Gaza. Hamas says it is ready to cooperate and deliver food to those it is holding, if Israel agrees to open humanitarian corridors across the entire Gaza Strip. Netanyahu spoke with relatives of the hostages seen in the released videos, and said he was determined to free them and "eliminate Hamas".
