6. VOXPOP (English) Hannah Pollard, fan:
"Ozzy was a massive inspiration in my life… kind of influenced a lot of my art, influenced me as a person, how I am and it was just really important for me to be here. So I made the three hour trip down this morning to come and see it."
(Reporter: "And how was it? How’s the atmosphere been?")
Pollard: "It’s been fantastic. I’ve messaged my friends earlier on and said, ‘I’ve never felt so at home in a place even though I’m not from here.’ I’ve never felt a nasty bit of energy while I’ve been here. It’s been lovely. So it’s just, it’s nice to see everybody come together over somebody like that."
(Reporter: "And what did you think when you saw the procession?")
Pollard: "It was a lot. I got a bit emotional, obviously. I think everyone got emotional. It was that mix between people being, like, super happy and then, like, super sad at the same time, which is such a weird feeling. But it was beautiful to see so many people come out and just want to pay their respects to a famous person. But he’s influenced such a massive amount of people in the area that he just he deserves the recognition."

"I went to the concert two weeks ago and it was emotional. It was… I felt like I needed to pay my respects to someone who could get up there and do what he did in front of everybody."
(Reporter: "What’s the atmosphere today?")
Tilly: Emotional. Emotional. Very emotional. I just didn’t expect it, just like I didn’t that night. Ozzy Osbourne, one of the first albums that I owned – ‘Blizzard of Ozz.’ Changed my life."
(Reporter: "What was it like seeing the procession?")
Tilly: "Difficult from the back, surprisingly. No, it was a non-negotiable for me to come along and pay your respects. It’s beautiful to see so many people, beautiful to see Birmingham in the best light."

"He’s a lifelong legend. You know, from my young years, I’ve always been a fan. You know, I’ve always listened to his songs, been through addiction and all sorts. He was there always. So you know, it’s important for me to do this."

Gray: "You know, it was sad because he’s gone and I was thinking about his family during the procession and I thought actually, this is a really sad occasion, but I really smiled because I thought about his contribution, right, you know, his cultural contribution to rock music, to the city and the fact that all these people are here to farewell him today. Like, what a legacy."
Osbourne: "And such an amazing thing for the family to do at such a very painful time, still want to come back to here and allow us to say our final goodbye as well. I just thought what a difficult thing to do."
(Reporter: "You mentioned the sense of humor as well. Ozzy did take that Brummie sense of humor global, didn’t he? So everyone gets that now.")
Osbourne: "And I think you just relate, you just relate to it. It’s the norm here, just funny."
(Reporter: "It’s very funny. And so are you going to queue up and go to the bench?")
