A former aide of Germany’s far-right party AfD member Maximilian Krah has gone on trial in Germany accused of spying for China.
The defendant is alleged to have collected personal information on senior AfD leaders including Alice Weidel, as well as sensitive EU matters, while working in Brussels.
The high-profile court case could have implications for the far-right party.
