STORYLINE:
Filipino President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. was greeted with a welcome ceremony in New Delhi on Tuesday by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu.
Marcos left Monday for a five-day state visit to India for talks with Modi and other top officials to boost defense, trade and investment, agriculture, tourism and pharmaceutical industry engagements.
Marcos’ visit is taking place with the celebration of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two nations.
"I think it is a reaffirmation of the alliance and the partnership that we are strengthening," Marcos said during the welcome ceremony.
