An out of control driver and an accomplice carjacked a black pickup truck before a high speed chase ensued. Anchors at KCAL were live on the air. The carjackers tried to shake highway patrol by driving the wrong way into oncoming traffic. The drivers rammed the front end of an 18-wheeler that was carrying 90,000 pounds of milk. The driver of the rig leapt out of the vehicle and the two carjackers took over. The carjackers were able to elude police.
