Reaction as Chelsea got their pre-season underway with a routine 2-0 win against Erik Ten Hag’s Bayer Leverkusen at Stamford Bridge.

Debutant Brazilian Estevao caught the eye scoring in the first half after several bright moments. Substitute Joao Pedro ensured victory in the closing stages with a fiercely hit shot from just inside the box.

Chelsea only returned to training on Monday after their Club World Cup victory in the US. They have just 13 days to prepare for their first Premier League game at home to Crystal Palace.
