Retired K9 Is Now a Beekeeper

What does a law enforcement K9 do after retirement? Maple got another job, but one that typically is only for the bravest of humans. She’s a beekeeper, of sorts, who uses her strong sense of smell to sniff out disease among honey bee colonies. Maple was recruited by Michigan State University to detect a disease called American Foulbrood. Scientists say it’s one of the main contributors to the decline in honeybees. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.
