"What was crazy is I was a big fan of the movie ‘High and Low.’ And then I met Spike at his block party two years ago. And we clicked like little kids, and we were running around the park having a great time. And then eight months later, he basically offered me this role out of nowhere. I mean, no audition, I mean nothing. And so then when I got to work with him, I’ve worked with a lot of great directors, and I’ve never been around someone like that whose energy is so infectious. I’m sure you know that about him. But he’s just like, it’s like going into a sandbox with a bunch of kittens, you know? And he’s like the alpha kitten, right? And he made going to work a joy every day."
