"One of our most important shared security goals in Europe, which is the end of the war between Russia and Ukraine. The president of the United States came in 6 months ago and I just talked to him right before I came on the stage, and he said very simply that we are going to make it our mission as an administration to bring peace to Europe once again. If you look back in the last 6 months, if you look back at the number of lives that we’ve saved in Rwanda, in the Congo, the president ended a 30 year war there. If you look at what we’ve done in East Asia, where the president ended a conflict in Serbia and Kosovo, where the president has brought peace to that area of the world, and now in just a couple of days with the president headed to Anchorage, Alaska to try to achieve an end to this terrible war in Russia and Ukraine. You guys make that possible."

STORYLINE:
US Vice President JD Vance spoke during a visit to RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire in the UK on Wednesday.
RAF Fairford is home to troops from the United States Air Force’s 501st Combat Support Wing and the 99th Expeditionary Reconnaissance Squadron.
"The president of the United States came in 6 months ago and I just talked to him right before I came on the stage, and he said very simply that we are going to make it our mission as an administration to bring peace to Europe once again," said Vance.
Vance and his family have been on holiday in the Cotswolds, an area that has become popular with wealthy American tourists because of its quaint villages, stone cottages and rural countryside that hark back to old England.
