"The people of Afghanistan are eagerly waiting for Independence Day, everyone is happy to celebrate this day, my brothers who live in other foreign countries should come and see for themselves how peaceful Afghanistan is. There is no problem living here, they will see how much people are happy, and how happily they are celebrating Independence Day.”

“We demand from the Islamic emirate that women are also an important part of the society. They should also have education and work opportunities, and the same for youth in this country. They are also unemployed. They should also be provided with employment opportunities. And the youth who migrated from other countries because their condition was not good there (in their country) and are now jobless here too. Arrangements should be made for their employment as well. The youth of this country are trying to go abroad due to unemployment, we are happy with the peace, but along with peace we also need employment and education opportunities. If these problems are solved then Afghanistan will be the best country to live in.”

“Personally I am very happy, there is peace and stability, everything is fine. But there is one another very important issue of our brothers who have returned from Iran and Pakistan. They are all unemployed and are living. A life of unemployment and poverty, something should be done for them.”

STORYLINE:
Taliban flags could be seen fluttering across Kabul on Thursday ahead of the fourth anniversary of the takeover of Afghanistan.
Ahsan Ullah Khan from Sar-e-Pol province said many residents were happy to celebrate the occasion.
He encouraged the Afghan diaspora to return to their homeland so they could see how peaceful the country was and how happy people were.
Earlier in the day, the spokesman for the Information and Culture Ministry said in statement that the Taliban will shower Kabul with flowers from a helicopter to mark the fourth anniversary of their return to power in Afghanistan.
The Taliban seized control of the country on August 15, 2021, weeks before the U.S. and NATO forces withdrew their forces after a costly, two-decade war.
The Taliban are starting their fifth year of ruling Afghanistan.
They have silenced internal dissent, tightened their control over Afghan life, secured recognition from Russia as the country’s official government, and normalized ties across the region.
