STORYLINE:
Kansas City businesses are gearing up for the announcement of Taylor Swift’s new album.
The superstar will be appearing on the podcast “New Heights” Wednesday with Travis and Jason Kelce.
On Monday, the show teased “a special episode with a VERY special guest” on social media with an orange background and a silhouette of Swift.
On Tuesday, Union Station in Kansas City, Missouri celebrated the announcement by lighting up the exterior of the building with orange lights.
Union Station is also featuring a “TS12” photo opportunity inside the Grand Hall to allow guests to take pictures and to commemorate the occasion.
EB and Co, a Kansas City based jewelry and accessory store, has been featuring Tayor Swift and Travis Kelce related items since they began dating in 2023.
“It’s still hard to believe honestly that it happens here in Kansas City,” Alyssa Cartwright, the general manager at EB and Co said. “I’m from Kansas City and these big things are happening and especially Taylor Swift is just the icing on the cake of all the big things happening and you see it here and just like this is Kansas City why is it happening here.”
