India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi says ‘steady progress’ has been made in improving bilateral ties with China after meeting with Beijing’s top diplomat in Delhi. In a statement online Modi said he had noted quote a ‘respect for each other’s interest’ during his meeting with China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi. Their meeting comes as relations between India and the United States have begun to detiorate over trade.
