3. SOUNDBITE (Arabic) Mohamed Ahmed, displaced Gazan in Maan camp:
“I pray to God and hope that this does not happen to our people here, because our people are exhausted from suffering and from this life that is nothing but hardship upon hardship. We have been displaced many times in our lives, and we ask God that it never happens again. Staying in our tents here is better than going there (southern Gaza). There are no humanitarian tents or non-humanitarian ones. There is bombing there, and there is bombing here as well.”
4. Various of the displaced Fadel Saad standing with the help of two crutches in front of his tent.
5. SOUNDBITE (Arabic) Fadel Saad, displaced from Bet Lahia:
“People are crammed on top of each other in the south, and should we go and make things even worse for them? This is something the mind cannot accept. There is no water, no food, nothing to drink, and life there is also extremely difficult. What is their goal in doing this? Do they want to force us out of the country?”
6. Various of Alfayrouz school in Gaza city hosting refugees
7. Various of Aya Salam , a displaced in the school, preparing coffee using a stove that works on wood and serving the coffee
8. SOUNDBITE (Arabic) Aya Salam, displaced woman from Jabalia:
“ Yesterday, we heard on the news that they will bring tents through the Kerem Abu Salem crossing and set up humanitarian areas in Rafah city. Where are we supposed to go? A tent is not a proper place; it’s unsuitable and has nothing good in it. Why should we be displaced in the first place? Enough. Let them stop the war, end it, and put an end to all this suffering.”
9. A silhouette shot of children in the displacement centre
10. SOUNDBITE (Arabic) Aya Salam, displaced woman from Jabalia:
“ So after everything we managed to secure here, we will be displaced again? We will never leave here. There is no safe place.”
11. Various of Palestinian women in the displacement centre
12. SOUNDBITE (Arabic) Haniyah Khalil, displaced woman from Northern Gaza:
“We are victims and we will not leave here. We will only leave over our dead bodies, God willing. Whether they take us to a tent or anywhere else, by God’s will, we will not leave.”
13. Various of the refugee camp near the school taken from a school window
14. SOUNDBITE (Arabic) Raghda Abu Dhaher, refugee from Jabalia camp:
“So where will we go again? We’ve been displaced about ten times, leaving our homes from here to there, without knowing where we’re headed. Is all that’s left for them to expel us from our areas too? No, God willing, this will not happen. We have no shelter left. This school is currently our only shelter. Where will we go after this? To the tents? God willing, no!”

STORYLINE:
War-weary Palestinians remained defiant Sunday against Israeli plans to move hundreds of thousands from northern Gaza to the southern part of the wrecked enclave.
At a make shift refugee camp in Alfayrouz school, Gaza City, residents insisted that they won’t leave their shelters, arguing that there is “no safe place” in Gaza.
The woman, who said she was displaced up to 10 times since the war started, said Israel’s bombardment campaign didn’t spare anything in Gaza.
