3. SOUNDBITE (Farsi) Esmail Baghaei, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman:
"The most important international body responsible in this regard is the United Nations Security Council. As the body in charge of maintaining international peace and security, the Security Council should have at least issued a resolution condemning the actions of the Zionist regime and forcing it to stop the genocide in Gaza. We know that because of U.S. obstruction and its full-scale support for the Zionist regime, this has not happened. But that does not mean we should not use other regional and international institutions to document these crimes, build consensus, and mobilise public opinion to put pressure on the Zionist regime and its supporters."

5. SOUNDBITE (Farsi) Esmail Baghaei, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman:
"Europe’s move to use this tool (the snapback mechanism) as a means of pressuring Iran is both illegal and illogical. The three European countries failed to fulfill their commitments under the JCPOA (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action)."

6. SOUNDBITE (Farsi) Esmail Baghaei, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman:
"These protests are highly significant. The Zionist regime is facing serious crises. The insistence of its leaders on continuing the war and pursuing expansionism has not only angered and worried the countries of the region, the entire Islamic world, and in a way the international community as a whole, but it seems the patience of the regime’s own society is also running out. I think the widespread protests we witnessed yesterday show the depth of the crises this regime is grappling with internally."

8. SOUNDBITE (Farsi) Esmail Baghaei, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman:
"Our position is a fixed and principled one. We have never believed that the presence of foreign military forces in the region contributes to peace and stability. On the contrary, we believe that the presence of U.S. forces has only brought insecurity and instability. Our conviction is that regional countries should work together, build mutual trust and understanding, and move toward creating a secure region whose security comes from within and depends on its own countries."

10. SOUNDBITE (Farsi) Esmail Baghaei, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman:
"I do not rule out the possibility of another round of negotiations (with Britain, Germany and France), but as of now, no decision has been made on this matter."

12. SOUNDBITE (Farsi) Esmail Baghaei, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman:
"None of the three (European) embassies mentioned are closed. Some embassies, after or during developments related to the Zionist regime’s military aggression, reduced some of their activities or limited their consular sections for reasons you know. But that has not and does not amount to embassy closures."
