We have reported every day on efforts largely by Europe, some by the US, to put together security guarantees for Ukraine once the war against Russia is history. Pledges were made to Ukraine’s President Zelenskyy of more weapons, air defense systems and even troops. But all of this depends on a lasting ceasefire. And that ceasefire depends on two people seeing eye to eye. Ukrainian President Zelensky and Russian President Putin.
