2. SOUNDBITE (Arabic) Ayman Safadi, Jordanian Foreign Minister:
"For children and Palestinians to die of hunger is unacceptable. It is unacceptable for mothers to find no food to offer their children. This is a violation not only of international law but of all human values. I believe the entire world bears a moral, humanitarian, and legal responsibility to stop this situation and this starvation. Furthermore, the interests of all countries necessitate working to end the conflict in the region and achieve security, peace, and stability, which will only be realized if Palestinians obtain their legitimate rights, particularly their right to statehood and freedom, allowing the independent sovereign Palestinian state to live in security and peace alongside Israel, based on the two-state solution and in accordance with legitimate resolutions."

4. SOUNDBITE (Arabic) Ayman Safadi, Jordanian Foreign Minister:
"The world must realize that Israeli policies stem from a clear Israeli goal of perpetuating the conflict and implementing expansionist agendas, whether in Gaza, the West Bank, or even in Lebanon and Syria. Therefore, the international community must take a clear stance. What does it want for our region? Is the aim security, peace, and stability for all, or more conflict, destruction, and devastation that will threaten regional and international security and peace as well?"

6. SOUNDBITE (Arabic) Ayman Safadi, Jordanian Foreign Minister:
"The world must choose either to support the Arab initiative, which will ensure security, safety, and stability for everyone, including Israel, or to remain incapable of confronting the destructive project led by the Israeli government, which will only lead to more conflict, destruction, and ruin, and which has made Israel a rogue state in the eyes of most countries around the world."

STORYLINE:
Jordan’s Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi condemned the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza during a visit to Moscow on Wednesday, urging the international community to confront what he described as Israel’s expansionist policies and work toward a two-state solution.
Safadi met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to discuss bilateral ties and regional issues.
The two sides highlighted their interest in deepening economic, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation while reaffirming their traditionally friendly relations.
“For children and Palestinians to die of hunger is unacceptable,” Safadi said during a joint press conference.
“This is a violation not only of international law but of all human values. The world bears a moral, humanitarian, and legal responsibility to stop this starvation.”
Safadi called for renewed efforts to achieve peace and stability in the Middle East, reiterating Jordan’s support for the two-state solution.
“Palestinians must obtain their legitimate rights, particularly their right to statehood and freedom,” he said.
“Only then can we realize security and peace alongside Israel.”
The talks also touched on broader regional challenges, with both ministers emphasizing political solutions in accordance with UN principles.
