"We have a lot of language here, like Sami, Meänkieli, Finnish and Swedish and we work with that languages, we use them in our, what do you call them, services, yes. So we have been working for several years (with them), because we are talking about the language of the heart, and that’s very important, that you can hear some of the words in your language."

"The importance (of the church) is that this is special, and it was given to us, and I don’t think the people of Kiruna had liked it to be left here in the pits, like they call it, the mine takes it. No, I think most of the people wanted it to move, and this is a special building, you cannot build a building like this anymore."

“And the church building itself, the building of Kiruna Church, is very reminiscent of life up here. First of all, it is very dark, which is reminiscent of the dark times we have up here. And if you look up in the church, you see the light that is reminiscent of spring and light and vegetation. So the entire church building in Kiruna is very reminiscent of the culture."
