Ava Cooper was born with multiple heart defects and endured many open-heart surgeries. Last year, when Ava was 10, she went into heart failure. A heart transplant became her best option, and the waiting began for a donor. After 215 days, she learned she was getting a heart. Inside Edition spoke to Ava and her parents, Sean and Jaime. The next day, Ava successfully underwent the 14-hour transplant surgery.
