Dinklage: "It was a dream, having everything be practical – most everything, being up on wires for the sort of, the transformation scene and trusting Macon in terms of all the narrative, in terms of making it as real in this heightened world as possible, because as an actor, you really, just head to toe in blue just sort of takes you out of it. But if you got the boots and the costume on and the prosthetic characters, it’s really so much more helpful too."

"When he sent me the script, he had a concept artist working on designs for the film, and it came with this drawing of my character, Fritz. And immediately I fell in love with it and thought, ‘Well, if we can achieve anything similar to this physically, it’ll be fantastic.’ And that’s what we did. So it was very much like a hunchback, stringy hair, creepy dude."
(Reporter: "And how different did it feel to be doing it? I mean…")
Wood: "It was a blast. I don’t get the opportunity to sort of transform like that often, so to play a character that is so bizarre and has a strange voice and physicality was awesome."
