The International Association of Genocide Scholars has said that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza. The group — which consists of around 500 academics, including a number of Holocaust experts — says that Israel’s policies and actions meet the legal criteria for the classification. It also believes crimes against humanity and war crimes have been committed. Israel has denied it is committing genocide and calls the accusations antisemitic. We spoke to Timothy Williams, a Junior Professor and Conflict Researcher at the University of the Bundeswehr Munich and Second Vice President of the International Association of Genocide Scholars.
