STORYLINE:
In an event to name the Department of Transportation’s newest National Security Multi-Mission Vessel (NSMV), South Korean President Lee Jae Myung visits the Hanwha Philly Shipyard to share remarks with United States officials.
The vessel, State of Maine, will be received by the Maine Maritime Academy. The ship will have space for up to 600 cadets and feature instructional spaces.
In addition to training, State of Maine is outfitted with hospital facilities, a helicopter pad, and storage for the transportation of humanitarian assistance and disaster relief supplies.
