China’s President, Xi Jinping, opened the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit in the city of Tianjin. More than 20 world leaders are attending the summit, including Russia’s Vladimir Putin and India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In his keynote speech, Xi presented a long-term economic and security strategy for the region and pledged to bolster cooperation within it.
