STORYLINE:
László Nemes premiered "Orphan," set in the wake of the 1956 Hungarian uprising, at the Venice Film Festival on Thursday.
The drama follows a young boy, whose idealized image of his dead father is challenged by a brutish man claiming to be his real father.
Its cast features Bojtorján Barábas, Andrea Waskovics, Grégory Gadebois, Elíz Szabó, Sándor Soma and Marcin Czarnik.
The "Son of Saul" director was last in the race for the festival’s Golden Lion in 2018, with "Sunset," which took the FIPRESCI prize.
