Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is in France for a meeting of the so-called Coalition of the Willing.
About 30 leaders will take part in the Paris summit, in person or online, and French diplomats say "technical work" on providing security guarantees is now complete in the event of a ceasefire.
The UK’s defence secretary John Healey said the UK and its allies stand ready to support Ukraine.
