"Well, you know, I’m kind of honored because as the guitarist in it, the thing that Ozzy Osbourne did that a lot of people don’t realize, he always had the guys with him on guitar. It was part of his song, it was part the rock of it all. And then when I got a call to actually do this and come in and step in as guitar player, but do it with Yungblud, and do it with Steven Tyler and Joe Perry, speaking of iconic guitar players and bands, it was enough of kind of like old school, new school, young blood, old blood coming in. And I think for the fans…when you do something at the VMAs, I think what stands out is when it’s authentic. And I think tonight, starting with it being the rock of it all and what Ozzy meant, the craziness of what he had, because he was crazy. It’s a miracle that he was with us as long as he was because he partied harder than anybody did in a lifetime. But I think we’re going to blow the roof off the place. And then I think it’s going to end and come down with some tears, you know, really paying homage to him and his family and Sharon and his sons and all that. It’s going be incredible.”
