Luigi Mangione, who’s accused of assassinating UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, won a major courtroom victory Tuesday. A judge dismissed Mangione’s terrorism charges that carry life prison terms, saying the evidence was "legally insufficient." The 27-year-old accused assassin is still facing state and federal murder charges and could get the death penalty if convicted. Crowds outside the courthouse waved banners and chanted loud enough to be heard inside.
