"Today, Lars officially launches the new Ukraine Transit Program, a three-year systemic integration project for Ukraine with a budget of €375 million. The three key areas are: supporting sustainability and early recovery, energy security and the transition to green energy, and the development of democratic institutions. I expressed my condolences to the Danish in relation to the Russian strike on humanitarian workers in Chernihiv on September 4. Two people were killed. It’s a war crime, a targeted strike on a group of humanitarian deminers from the Danish Refugee Council. Those responsible must be brought to justice. We thank all representatives of humanitarian organizations that help and work in Ukraine."

"So now today we introduce this new program, which is actually the biggest and most ambitious country program in the history of Danish development support. It amounts to, as you mentioned, €375 million. The vision behind this program is very clear – to enhance Ukraine’s resilience and ability to deliver on the urgent, basic needs of its people, to support the green transition and improve framework conditions for private sector development, and to contribute to democratic and institutional reforms needed to join the EU, which is a high priority during the Danish presidency."

When it comes to talks about peace, Putin is clearly trying to buy time and divert attention from the massive and brutal attacks on your country."

"This probably may mark a new phase of Russian escalation, new phase of Russian aggression, because this is a conscious and direct violation of a NATO member and European country’s airspace – Poland. Moreover, with such a significant number of unmanned devices. We rely on figures provided to us by the Polish side – there were nearly 20 drones as of now. Undoubtedly, in such a way, Russia on the one hand provokes NATO and specific countries, and on the other hand, they are testing – testing for reaction. So, the reaction must be very firm and decisive."

STORYLINE:
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha and his Danish counterpart, Lars Lokke Rasmussen, gave a joint press conference in Kyiv on Friday, announcing the launch of the new Ukraine Transit Program.
"The three key areas are: supporting sustainability and early recovery, energy security and the transition to green energy, and the development of democratic institutions," Sybiha told the reporters.
Commenting on the recent incident with Russian drones in Polish airspace, Rasmussen stressed that "Russia’s aggressive behaviour is a threat to European security as a whole".
