STORYLINE:
Stars and creators gathered on the red carpet at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles Sunday night for the Emmy Awards.

as did Chase Sui Wonder, Paul W. Downs and Molly Gordon.
The show was hosted by comic Nate Bargatze—who was hosting for the first time.
Apple TV+ was poised to have a breakout Emmy year with the two most nominated shows, “Severance” in drama and “The Studio” in comedy – which are favorites to win the two biggest awards.
“The Studio” tied a record for a comedy with 23 nominations, and won nine Emmys at last weekend’s Creative Arts ceremony. “The Bear” and “Hacks” which have dominated the comedy Emmys in recent years, were both again up for best comedy series but suddenly find themselves underdogs.
“Severance,” the Orwellian office drama about people who surgically split their psyches into workplace “innies” and home “outies,” was the top overall nominee with 27 nominations for its second season. It won six at the Creative Arts ceremony.
The Emmys aired live on CBS and streamed live for Paramount+ with Showtime subscribers. Standard Paramount+ subscribers can stream it Monday through Sept. 21.
