The Tokyo Game Show is one of the biggest gaming events in the world, bringing together developers, publishers and players from across the globe.
Now in its 29th year, organisers say it has opened with record participation, with nearly half of the exhibitors coming from overseas.
STORYLINE:
Rows of screens, headsets and game controllers fill the halls of Makuhari Messe, where gamers are testing out new releases.
The Tokyo Game Show is marking its 29th year with a record number of exhibitors, nearly half of them from overseas.
It is one of the largest events in the global games industry, bringing together developers, publishers and players.
Sega is presenting “Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds,” while Square Enix is showing Final Fantasy Tactics – The Ivalice Chronicles and “Killer Inn.”
Electronic Arts is also demonstrating “Battlefield 6,” one of several international franchises at the show.
For many, it’s a chance to preview games and technologies that will shape the year ahead.
