We Went to a Support Group for Black People in America

1 min read

Alzo Slade participates in an “Emotional Emancipation Circle,” an Afrocentric support group created by the Community Healing Network and the Association of Black Psychologists. It’s a safe space for Black people to share personal experiences with racism and to process racial trauma. Check out the latest episode of the VICE News Tonight series, "Trauma: Black Mental Health."

If you or someone you know is struggling, you are not alone. Call the Association of Black Psychologists at 301-449-3082 or The National Alliance on Mental Illness Helpline at 800-950-NAMI Or in a crisis, text "NAMI" to 741741
