Abu Khalil rides his bicycle through the destruction of Gaza City to reach a bakery where he hopes to buy bread for his family. The Palestinian, who has a family of 12, lives in a rented apartment after his home was partially destroyed by Israeli bombardment during the war. Khalil’s daughter has cancer as well as medical problems in her trachea. Khalil is the only breadwinner in the family, and he travels to the bakery almost every day so his family can eat.
