STORYLINE:
Police in Tbilisi on Tuesday broke up a demonstration in front of Georgia’s parliament.
Demonstrators were out in force trying to block the entrances to the parliament in order to prevent lawmakers from leaving the building.
Georgian politicians had been debating a second reading on foreign influence in the country on Tuesday.
The proposed law would require media and non-commercial organisations to register as being under foreign influence if they receive more than 20% of their funding from abroad.
Protesters have labelled the proposed law as the "Russian law" due to its similarities with Russian legislation.
Several demonstrators have been arrested, according to the eye witnesses.
