House Speaker Mike Johnson calls chaos during House hearing ‘not a good look for Congress’

EXCLUSIVE: On the steps of Capitol Hill, just one day after chaos erupted over personal attacks between lawmakers amid a contempt hearing, House Speaker Mike Johnson told ABC News, "It was not a good look for Congress."

Insults and shouting overtook the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability as GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett exchanged personal attacks.

"I think decorum in the House is an important tradition to maintain. We’ll be talking about this with our members," Speaker Johnson said. "I think Hakeem Jeffries needs to do the same on the Democrat side."
